Reader in European History at Brunel University London
Her first book, The Return of Alsace to France, 1918-1939 was published by Oxford University Press in 2018 and she has published on different aspects of the history of borders, borderlands, nationhood and the centre-periphery relationship in modern France and Europe. She is currently working on a long history of the idea of the Channel Tunnel. This research has been funded by the British Academy/Leverhulme Trust and the Gerda Henkel Foundation.
