Coordinator of the international dual master’s Heritage and Memory Studies at the University of Amsterdam

Coordinator of the international dual master’s Heritage and Memory Studies at the University of Amsterdam and lecturer within this programme, as well as co-developer of the new bachelor’s Global Arts, Culture and Politics. She is specialized in (the history of) international cultural relations, including heritage diplomacy, particularly in the period between the two world wars and shortly after 1945: timeframes in which culture and heritage played a key part in the legitimation and contestation of newly established state borders. Her interests include Italian Fascism and its cultural apparatus in connection to Italian nation-building within the Italian peninsula, on its borders, among emigrants and in colonized territories.
